Congratulations to the Canadian navy on its centenary.
A very unreported body of very fine people who have served honourably for 100 years through many wars in support of nations far removed from their own shores.
Very little reporting done on this fine occasion on this side of the 'pond' but I do feel given their contributions especially on convoy escorts and long standing contribution to the ' Cold War' it would be very unfair for us to let this occasion go unnoticed.
We have had occasion in the past to work with these good people and acknowledge their salutations for our own half centenary of July 12 1996.
