Sorry, the old eyesight is not what it used to be, I thought I was posting this question in the OPV Replacement thread.
Many thanks for the answer, just makes me more confused as to why we are not going down this route (along with air surveillance radar etc). From what I've read we are talking about tens of million EURO, not hundreds of millions. If I remember correctly our old friend Ancient Mariner saying we had ASW capability on the corvettes.

It all comes from a total absence of ambition from Naval HQ.
For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

IPVs have lots of space, reportedly good seaboats, saw a lot of work underway( but the dog kennels onboard may go!). V promising protectors of ORE in Irish ,E Celtic Seas, may well prove a bargain
