Heads up ! - The Navy RTE 1 Monday 7.30pm
"Let us be clear about three facts. First, all battles and all wars are won in the end by the infantryman. Secondly, the infantryman always bears the brunt. His casualties are heavier, he suffers greater extremes of discomfort and fatigue than the other arms. Thirdly, the art of the infantryman is less stereotyped and far harder to acquire in modern war than that of any other arm." ------- Field Marshall Wavell, April 1945.Tags: None

Keep us informed anyway, if a definite date for the screening of this comes up,
would be interesting to see how the NS lives and works at the pointy end..."Well, stone me! We've had cocaine, bribery and Arsenal scoring two goals at home. But just when you thought there were truly no surprises left in football, Vinnie Jones turns out to be an international player!" (Jimmy Greaves)!"

lets just say that i find it very hard to believe there will be many interviews with the bods on board as usual officers will be stuck in it every where and the home visit will an officer as well sure dont you all know they do everything at sea and we stay in the bunk"Let no mans ghost come back to say my training let him down"

The PO/Commop is the one who is filmed leaving his family & home, sparky. Would hope you'd stop using the term 'bod', it's actually quite derogatory.Last edited by sparky; 26 July 2006, 21:09."Let no mans ghost come back to say my training let him down"
