The photo is taken from a quay wall looking up at the vessel stack where it says "UECC" in that company's livery. There are a number of Irish-owned UN vehicle on the quay wall.

It is from a copy of Connect with all the courses for that year advertised.

I remember that photo. It was definitely taken within the vehicle decks of some sort of Car Carrier/Car ferry, however, as Rotterdam was also involved in Liberia, it is possible that the photos were taken on her.
    Possibly.

That is not the vessel I was refering to, which was used to transport personnel / vehicles already within the AO. The UECC vessel was used to transport the vehicles from Ireland to the AO (but I don't know if it was UNMEE or UNMIL).

Don't think it's a UECC ship, their ships seem to be in too good nick!

started a topic Sea Transport to Liberia / Eritrea

Sea Transport to Liberia / Eritrea

Someone asked on a thread before about the vessel used to transport vehicles and equipment to one of these areas (but I can't find the thread inspite of the search function).

I knew I had seen a photo of Irish UN vehicles being unloaded from a vessel. It was in Connect and found it the other night. There is no caption so I don't know which mission it was with.

I was correct in what I said at the time (in that I thought it was a car carrier). The vessel owner/operator was UECC which operates car carrier - therefore it was one of these vessels.
