AFAIK an Army cadet who was sent to Sandhurst was poached by the BA and is now a para officer."Why, it appears that we appointed all of our worst generals to command the armies and we appointed all of our best generals to edit the newspapers. I mean, I found by reading a newspaper that these editor generals saw all of the defects plainly from the start but didn't tell me until it was too late. I'm willing to yield my place to these best generals and I'll do my best for the cause by editing a newspaper"

Without beating this to death, when he was commissioned in Sandhurst he wore the British Army uniform. A fact about which there were a lot of mutterings and mumblings.Last edited by WES; 6 December 2007, 00:11.The worst sin toward our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them: that's the essence of inhumanity.

I reckon the Unifil medal would be fairly unique on a British army uniform.
Nice trend to have been comissioned twice into two different armies although not unique for the DF as there were a couple of naval officers in the past who had been RN at some stage.Covid 19 is not over ....it's still very real..Hand Hygiene, Social Distancing and Masks.. keep safe
