Winifred Whelan, from Liverpool, woke up to
find a man in a hoodie standing over her bed
brandishing a knife and demanding money.
The terrified pensioner managed to run
downstairs where she grabbed a 14-inch
carving knife from the kitchen and shouted
at the thug:
"That's not a knife, this is a knife".
