The strategic defence review's grim reaper has selected it's next intended target.
Local to me is the famous Marchwood Military Port or also known as McMullen Barracks. Home to the 17 Port & Maritime Regiment, RLC.
Built in 1943, the port has transported Military cargo & troops around the Globe, and is used by many to the RFA vessels.
It will be a sad loss to the community if the sale goes ahead, but the cynical side of me thinks a rather big player in the very close area may be after the land!
