  • Odd!!

    One of the strangest things I've seen (think it is on the Indian side of the border with Pakistan).

    Its a daily event, here's a clip from the BBC showing both sides

    Maybe they should do this in the North instead of rioting.

    It was the year of fire...the year of destruction...the year we took back what was ours.
    It was the year of rebirth...the year of great sadness...the year of pain...and the year of joy.
    It was a new age...It was the end of history.
    It was the year everything changed.

      It goes on on both sides, they each try to out do each other in drilling/marching. It started sometime in the 1970's after they'd been at war. Originally it was a my-mickeys-bigger-than-yours sorta thing, now its a major tourist attraction.

            Can you imagine the Taking you a stage further I am now going to teach you how to stamp your foot violently on the march while also gesticulating with your head.
            Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
            Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
            The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere***
            The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
            The best lack all conviction, while the worst
            Are full of passionate intensity.

                  Fcuking Brits have a lot to held responsible for.. Manual of Close order Foot drill meets Riverdance

                  But in fairness while it looks odd, they put a lot into it...Our Saturday outings at the national memorial pale into insignificance.
                  Covid 19 is not over ....it's still very real..Hand Hygiene, Social Distancing and Masks.. keep safe
