Firefighters are "going defensive" and pulling out.
Looks like this may be a total loss.
For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

Fire has spread to the stern now, she's going to be in a hell of a state after this.

shouldnt they be getting the ship on the opposite side of the pier towed away?

Ships dont usually burn from the outside in. The alongside ships are in little danger really. The real risk is heat.

Yeah, some suggestions the Burke alongside the other side is taking heat/smoke damage, some reports that towing is being considered.

Yeah the smoke will make shit of the paintwork and the USN are fond of High Volume AC on the Burkes so it's probably sucki g all the smoke in.

Yeah the Burkes have moved out, seems the fire is to be let burn itself out?

Being reported this morning as a structural loss, fire begun on the vehicle deck during maintenance.

Forbes are suggesting the fire is caused by lax safety during maintenance. Did someone forget a hot work permit?
