  • National Day of Commemoration

    Tomorrow (Sunday 8th July) is the National Day of Commemoration for all Irish men & women who have died in war and on service with the UN and other missions.

    It takes place at The Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, but unfortually it isn't open to the public. But it is usually on live on RTE.

    As an aside the Royal British Legion will hold a wreath-laying ceremony today (Saturday 7th July) at the National War Memorial Gardens Islandbridge.

    Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
    Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
    The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere***
    The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
    The best lack all conviction, while the worst
    Are full of passionate intensity.

                        There has been.

                        It was designed as a tool for killing people. Not for making pretty patterns in the air.

                          did anyone notice the female cadet calling out the time for the arms drill sadly this was allowed to creep in and should be got rid of as proper practise of the drill as a team especially where cadets are concerned ,,,,
