                  Hi Groundhog
A book that should be read by every WW I reader is "The battlefields of the First World War---the unseen panoramas of the Western Front" by Peter Barton, published by Constable and Robinson Ltd, London,2005, ISBN 1-84119-745-9. A fine book of panoramic photographs of all the main battlefields, taken by the Royal Engineers and their German equivalents, along with many contemporary accounts of action at each photographed site, as well as modern photos of the same sites for comparison.Euro 58, which is steep but worth it for the serious reader.
                  regards

It’s left flank was pushed back at 7.30pm but the right remained dug-in, having gained 150 yards of ground.
