  • Duncannon Fort Military Vehicle and Re-enactment Show

    Duncannon Fort Military Vehicle and Re-enactment Show will take place this June Bank Holiday Weekend . Sat31May to Mon 02June.

    This is a Multi period Re-enactment event and vehicle show ,with many periods of history represented by both living history displays and combat re-enactments.
    [Early Irish, Roman ,Viking ,Norman, Medieval and modern]

    This year there will be an Eastern front Re-enactment between Soviet and German Troops

    Main Event will be a WW2 Battle re-enactment behind the beach on Sunday 1st June at 3.00 pm [approx] This will include American and British Allied Forces v German Axis Forces . This re-enactment will be the largest WW2 Re-enactment ever held in Ireland with over eighty re-enactors , WW2 vehicles and support weapons involved on both sides.

    This battle Re-enactment is free to the public.

      The militray vehicles side has become a bit mundane but the re enactment battle was fantastic aoart for th thundershower at the end.

      The age profile lead me to belive that some of the re actors were psooible re living or on continuation of service...good day out for a tenner.Will post photos soon or just check out my bebo page.
