Regarding your father's service in the British Army, I wouldn't be sure
If he had died in British service, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission
would have been a good starting point, but as he didn't, that's not
applicable
But believe me when I tell you that there are no shortage of members on the
board who WILL know where to look, and will point you in the right direction
in due course

A Co 38th Infantry Battalion / Dublin Guards
Hi, I'm new to this so hope I'm posting this in the correct section.
I'm doing research on my late father who was with the above companies - initially in the Dublin Guards between Mar 1922 & Feb 1923. He later served with the 38th based in Cork ( Mallow & possibly Bantry, I believe) until Mar 1924.
I'm trying to find out what actions, if any, he may have been involved with during those years or indeed any information on life in the army at that time.
Any information, or directions as to where best to look, would be very much appreciated.
