  • Historical Google Maps

    I don't know if everybody else knows that there is the ability to pull up historical maps on Google Maps? I've just discovered it! (Bummer, that's me up for another hour or two...)

    'He died who loved to live,' they'll say,
    'Unselfishly so we might have today!'
    Like hell! He fought because he had to fight;
    He died that's all. It was his unlucky night.

    Google Historic Maps

    There is also a graduated scale bar that allows you to superimpose the historic map over the present day map showing the changing landscape and buildings.

        It wouldn't work on my ZX Spectrum. I've just got a new 386 with a whole 2MB of RAM and a 5 gb hard drive to run it!
