if you contact protac in the curragh he seems to have cornered the market for acmat's he has about 3 and his buddies the rest , keep and eye on wilson's auctions at the end of every month they have the contract to get rid of the scrap vehicles
actmats went for up to 2000 euro + commission to the seller and they are non runners , not for the faint hearted or mechanically challanged

in Eurosatory this year hpt they had new VLRA's on display i have a photo somewhere and will attach later , so very much of the present , and last year were taken to service with black soldiers from hereford and we just get rid of them , and what about the pic of "Chicken Farmers" in somalia using actmats as gunships for convoy escort , very much regarded in overseas forces but maligned by soft irish types who want centrel heated cabs etc

My 10 years out of date post is in response to joshuas link...
as for the ACmats I believe they fall into the same category as the Man Deisel troop carriers...we didn't buy enough of them...
they would have been the fore runner of the Ford 350s if anybody had made the effort as the FFl were using them in cahd before out rangers were even operational.
