Best business networker ever, aboard Irish Navy’s L.E. Samuel Beckett courtesy of @EI_theUSA to connect with great Irish & American businesses for @goodmanmedia & @IrishBusinessNY pic.twitter.com/tAo3ZGhopd

Looks like a nice location
Delighted to meet crew of LE Samuel Beckett , inc Flag Office Mick Malone and Lt Cmdr Eoin Smyth, during their visit to NY. Crew have benefited hugely from experience of crossing Atlantic - these voyages are so beneficial to our Navy. Enterprise Ireland played a key part in visit pic.twitter.com/Gh6OKCSxuA

I'm a bit old school but, using the Ship's Honour Guard , as a relaxed photo opportunity, is a bit SPUDS and BACON. It loses it's HONOUR.Last edited by Laners; 29 September 2019, 11:56.Don't spit in my Bouillabaisse .

The faces of everyone else in the photo tells it's own story. He dragged a ship to Rosslare for a medal parade cos he couldn't be arsed travelling to Haulbowline, but has no problem winging it to NYC for a photo op. Let's face it, he had no other legitimate business there. For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

They're shipping up to Boston. (Presumably to find a wooden leg...)

We went up through the Chesapeake Canal in 1986 and when we arrived at the Navy Yard in Boston, we found the berth was between two of the most historic ships in the US Navy OLD IRONSIDES( Constitution) and USS CASSIN YOUNG. Just don't break anything!

Niamh was in the same berth during the 00s.
Eithne was also at that berth in 2009
Eithne was at the Seaport Blvd berth in 2000 for the Tall Ships festival.
Should be a regular visit every 3 or so years.
Great experience.
