Didn't the RN do something similar with Beirut port after the explosion last year?
Certainly HMS Enterprise carried stores from Cyprus to Beirut and assisted with some survey and principally supplied a feeding station for 500 Lebanese soldiers working on remediation. They spent some weeks on scene. In all Britain gives about 0.71% of GPD in foreign aid but having suitable ships with F.Dk. is a real bonus.
