Panels and doors falling off or opening on an aircraft or engine nacelle during flight is a common enough occurance. One of the PC9's lost a main door a few years back after the fibreglass cracked in half. As a result all the doors in the remainder in the fleet were checked, most had similar cracks and were all replaced with new and modified doors.
