    With respect, nonsense. Things have moved on from that.

    You can't expect to retain the best of our people if you expect them to act as scullery maids any time a VIP turns up. I doubt you would expect it from your crew on civilian operated ships?

      How do you come to that conclusion. Since when has service become a matter of personal choice or "get somebody else to do it " scenario.? The mission is paramount as it was in the Mediterranean when thousands were rescued, housed, comforted, and fed three times a day until landed. By the way VIP's don't turn up they are invited by the STATE.

        That was the mission. They weren't socialising.
        For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

            Rescuing and feeding those escaping conflict at sea is not remotely comparable to topping up the prosecco for the mayor's wife.
