      • Some people have settings to avoid views by those without profile pictures etc.
        For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

              Not necessarily. If I was floating in a raft mid atlantic, I'll take any shade of heli at all, once they pick me up.

                  • Sneaky Training.
                    "Let us be clear about three facts. First, all battles and all wars are won in the end by the infantryman. Secondly, the infantryman always bears the brunt. His casualties are heavier, he suffers greater extremes of discomfort and fatigue than the other arms. Thirdly, the art of the infantryman is less stereotyped and far harder to acquire in modern war than that of any other arm." ------- Field Marshall Wavell, April 1945.

                          Well, they knew if they broke it they wouldn’t get another
                          'He died who loved to live,' they'll say,
                          'Unselfishly so we might have today!'
                          Like hell! He fought because he had to fight;
                          He died that's all. It was his unlucky night.

                          • How far was the PC-9 from Baldonnel when the engine failed?

                            Yesterday, around 3 o'clock, I saw a PC-9 heading towards Baldonnel. I was just off junction 12, M50.

                            • 30 Km out, the pilot under instruction observed engine bits and oil coming out, the Aircraft was 261 I believe, which was due to return to Pilatus for a major overhaul.

                              • Is it still under warranty?
                                Major overhaul or not, turboprops don't usually disintegrate. That's more common on a turbofan, after FOD or bird strike.
