    According to the WP there are 27 MQ units left in the DF, looks like the DF are ahead of the curve on this one.

      that's nothing to be proud of.

      MQ's are mostly a fantastic perk of Army life.

        Military housing is essential if you want to maintain deployments while retaining personnel. Even private sector companies have purchased accommodation to enable their employees to setup in a new area due to a move. This is a bad move

            suits us.

            i have been in my current civvie house for 5 years this month - this is the longest i have ever lived in the same house anywhere as a married man.

            i think my last Army married quarter was my 10th, having spent as little as 8 months in one during my time.

              Our Army wants to get away from the garrison mentality, not encourage it. Anyone in MQ in the DF has always been "encouraged" to get a private house.
