A pure vanity project by someone who hates wearing "Army" DPM once or twice a year to go to the range. Is that leadership??? Seriously??"Let us be clear about three facts. First, all battles and all wars are won in the end by the infantryman. Secondly, the infantryman always bears the brunt. His casualties are heavier, he suffers greater extremes of discomfort and fatigue than the other arms. Thirdly, the art of the infantryman is less stereotyped and far harder to acquire in modern war than that of any other arm." ------- Field Marshall Wavell, April 1945.

Am I correct in saying the "OnaH" tab is going where "naval service" was originally to go, over the left chest pocket?
Hopefully a naval equivalent elmer fudd hat is part of the issue, just to annoy the Army folk.Last edited by na grohmiti; 1 December 2020, 12:08.For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

When I joined the NS, ratings wore an appalling orange/brown jacket and pants with brass buttons reminiscent of the Curragh. The blue shirt and pants were always very civilian and difficult to look smart and collapsed when washed. The DPM comes in a more functional package and will be ours AND will also be Service wise Fashionable. Naval personnel should not have to wear green DPM's except for a clear tactical reason.
(It's DF DPM BTW and funny how the Air Corps have no problem wearing it when the need arises.)"Let us be clear about three facts.
