"No, they're trying to fly the tank"

So. Mounting issues aside(You can always sew a velcro patch on the right sleeve of the old shirts/smocks and new smocks to take the badge. It will just look shit) has anybody actually seen the actual new badges. IE not the makey uppy ones some units have gotten made up. Better still anybody been issued them yet?"Let us be clear about three facts. First, all battles and all wars are won in the end by the infantryman. Secondly, the infantryman always bears the brunt. His casualties are heavier, he suffers greater extremes of discomfort and fatigue than the other arms. Thirdly, the art of the infantryman is less stereotyped and far harder to acquire in modern war than that of any other arm." ------- Field Marshall Wavell, April 1945.

Have not received same as yet, because have not been parading due to COVID-19 restrictions, so am not aware if my callsign has them on issue as yet"Well, stone me! We've had cocaine, bribery and Arsenal scoring two goals at home. But just when you thought there were truly no surprises left in football, Vinnie Jones turns out to be an international player!" (Jimmy Greaves)!"

Am thinking a standardised Velcro patch won't work, when you think of different shaped flashes (28 Bn, 12 Bn, 2 Cav, 3 Bn as examples). The obvious best solution, as you said yourself, is the Velcro patch with blanking plate, as per the UBACS shirt.

Jesus. Covid must be killing the DF's supply chain. Another month on and no sign of the flashes or any of the other new kit. Just goes to show how vulnerable we are to disruption in times of emergency when nearly all your kit and equipment comes from abroad.(Uniforms, boots, ammo, ration packs etc etc)."Let us be clear about three facts. Admin Instruction A9 amended with pictures of all, the DF approved Unit flashes/subdued flashes/Lanyards and Rank Markings.
I had some fun during the week telling the lads who had bought their own makey uppy subdued badges that the badge design was back to front so they wont be able to wear them
Glad I held off buying now!"Let us be clear about three facts. First, all battles and all wars are won in the end by the infantryman. Secondly, the infantryman always bears the brunt. On DPM smocks, however, will be another matter"Well, stone me! We've had cocaine, bribery and Arsenal scoring two goals at home. But just when you thought there were truly no surprises left in football, Vinnie Jones turns out to be an international player!" (Jimmy Greaves)!"
