RDFRA have now stuck an article up about Rockbrae House.
Be interesting to see a list of all FCA locations down the years in Wicklow on both sides of the mountains."Are they trying to shoot down the other drone? "
"No, they're trying to fly the tank"

In 1959 that became 21 Inf Bn. And from 2005, C Coy 62 Res Inf Bn.
There was Rockbrae House and Wicklow which were owned/leased.
There was centres in Arklow and Rathdrum (which were rented for the few hours a week). In 2005 it was the same story for Tinahely (taken over from 10 Inf Bn in 2005)
There used to be a centre in Newtownmountkennedy (not sure if owned/leased/rented).
Strangely never heard anything at all about anywhere west of Bray/Newtown/Rathdrum until Tinahely came on board in 2005.

Either that, or commute to Dublin to 2 Bde"Well, stone me! We've had cocaine, bribery and Arsenal scoring two goals at home. But just when you thought there were truly no surprises left in football, Vinnie Jones turns out to be an international player!" (Jimmy Greaves)!"

10 bn as I mention above had a sub-unit in Carnew.
One of the problems with the re-org ( the 2005 one) was that pulling back from the rural subs made it almost impossible for anyone to be recruited and parade outside the major centres and it broke a lot of the regional links . Now we've debated this endlessly as to the usefulness but its worth pointing out."Are they trying to shoot down the other drone? "

The long-anticipated plan to redevelop Portlaoise Garda Station finally looks set to proceed. Garda Chief Superintendent John Scanlan confirmed that new plans for the station, which is the HQ of the Laois, Offaly, Kildare Garda Division, will go for planning within weeks. He hopes that once approved...

This is a list of the properties that the DoD have sold since 2017.
The two houses in the Curragh worth over €150,000 each were "sold" to Kildare County Council for just €1 each. Again, business as usual at the useless DoD.
