There can be a lot to be said for pharmacies that offer "generic" drugs, if the HSE was prepared to piss off the pharmaceutical companies and only prescribe generic drugs it would save a fortune - but that's an argument for a different thread.
It sounds like keeping a pharmacy capability in-house could be worthwhile. But again, although the army needs medical services, it sounds like St Bricans has served it's purpose and it's time to look at what is required by the army as a whole in 2020, not what was there in 1970. Same as the SAR really!
'He died who loved to live,' they'll say,
'Unselfishly so we might have today!'
Like hell! He fought because he had to fight;
He died that's all. It was his unlucky night.

My current pharmacy only gives me the "brand name" drugs, instead of the generic.
Big savings only made on certain generic, once patent has expired, anyone can make the same thing. Drugs where the R&D is well covered. I doubt DF patients would be in that league, thankfully.
German 1: Private Schnutz, I have bad news for you.
German 2: Private? I am a general!
German 1: That is the bad news.
Wish I could find the link to the PA Consulting report

"No, they're trying to fly the tank"
RDFRA have now stuck an article up about Rockbrae House.
Be interesting to see a list of all FCA locations down the years in Wicklow on both sides of the mountains.

1946-1954 there was North Wicklow Bn and South Wicklow Bn.
In 1959 that became 21 Inf Bn. And from 2005, C Coy 62 Res Inf Bn.
There was Rockbrae House and Wicklow which were owned/leased.
There was centres in Arklow and Rathdrum (which were rented for the few hours a week). In 2005 it was the same story for Tinahely (taken over from 10 Inf Bn in 2005)
There used to be a centre in Newtownmountkennedy (not sure if owned/leased/rented).
Strangely never heard anything at all about anywhere west of Bray/Newtown/Rathdrum until Tinahely came on board in 2005.
Carnew and Shillelagh as well and what about the centres in West wicklow

"Well, stone me! We've had cocaine, bribery and Arsenal scoring two goals at home. But just when you thought there were truly no surprises left in football, Vinnie Jones turns out to be an international player!" (Jimmy Greaves)!"
10 bn as I mention above had a sub-unit in Carnew.
One of the problems with the re-org ( the 2005 one) was that pulling back from the rural subs made it almost impossible for anyone to be recruited and parade outside the major centres and it broke a lot of the regional links . Now we've debated this endlessly as to the usefulness but its worth pointing out.

So she doesn’t think we should get any of that cash then
The Army building behind the Garda station in Portlaoise is being given to the Gardai and a new location for the Army will be built at the Prison Service College.

This is a list of the properties that the DoD have sold since 2017.
The two houses in the Curragh worth over €150,000 each were "sold" to Kildare County Council for just €1 each. Again, business as usual at the useless DoD.
