Irish Army Mounted Troops

In this old Newsreel of Free State troos on exercise from 1933, there is what appears to be a company of mounted troops (as well as good shots of AFV's and a biplane). I never knew there were operational mounted troops, just the Equestrian School and the "Blue Hussars".

I know Transport corps used horses, and some of the wheeled artillery we used during the emergency had originally been designed to be pulled by horses. We were always told Cavalry never used horses (The Blue Hussars were drawn from Transport Corps I believe). But this early in the history of the state anything was possible.
