Noticed while watching the Bastille day parade yesterday, French Army seem to be using something for escorting oversize loads around Paris.
No idea what kind of bike, looked well on the parade.

Apparently they are Yamaha Tenere XTZ660, in use since 2015. It replaced the Cagiva T4.

Guess what? They fit the tender specs for a new EOH motorcycle. 46BHP! Unfortunately they don't make them any more but the updated 700 version with LED headlights is only 54KW, 204kg wet, but the full mudguard requirement may put it outsidethe criteria.
It would potentially give 2 Cav motorcycles the ability to drive on grass again..

Inevitable since the MPs decided to replace their deauvilles withthat model. I don't think it will have the longevity of the last 3 generations of EoH bikes.

    Truly a horrific bike.

Tbh all the bikes we tested were chain. We actually looked for the tracer but Honda slashed their price right down and the package along with it all it it out in front. While testing the chain was discussed and won’t be part of the inspection afaik

Can I print this response and use it when my bike is getting inspected on the church square?

"Trooper, Why is your rear wheel covered in grease???"
I wonder how long before DoD issue a tender request for scottoilers.

Think you have 2 chances of that happening, I use chain wax on my own bike and it doesn't fling off like lube does
