And what about those corps units who wore the same headgear as their permanent colleagues all these years, with no other form of recognition? I'm merely stating fact. As for it being bullshit, at the end if the day it is the army there are state security issues etc and restrictions in place I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. I'm sure I wouldn't be allowed 100% access in your civvie jobs!!

How do PDF personnel who aren't suppose to have access to the same areas have their access restricted?
I don't really want a reply to that but I guarantee it doesn't involve a piece of clothing.
I can think of 1 possible place that does.... I've been in it as a reservist (beside a prison).

In my (and most likely TD's) industries, access to site is restricted, visitors must be escorted, ID must be worn at all times, etc
There are restricted access areas where not all employees have access, on my site there are at least 2 areas (including the one I work in) where your ID/access card will not allow you access unless your one of a specific group.

That's nice Dev, missing the point as usual.
Is there a clear difference in access between permanent workers and temporary ones though? For example if you are a Permanent Janitor, will you have access to the same mop and bucket as a Temporary Janitor? Will you be prevented from cleaning certain toilets because you are a temporary worker? For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

Unless the person's (permanent or temporary) employment requires them to have access they don't get it.
The point I think kaiser was making is in some areas there isn't access for any RDF personnel (as there are no RDF personnel who's employment requires them to be there), but what he forgot to say that the majority of PDF wouldn't be allowed access either!
Would I be right that the majority of the PDF wouldn't get access either kaiser?

Lads, I do laugh at how some of ye lose your minds over the simplest of things. It's a small flash, what odds about it? If you are a great bit of stuff the flash won't make a difference. If you're a bag of shite, hey pesto with a flash, you're still a bag of shite.

I don't mind the flash. It isn't as guady as the old FCA one. The NSR have been wearing it for years. Given that my ID has reserve written on it, on IKON the letters AR is put after my rank, actually when you sign letters you are supposed to put (AR) and before that (FCA) after your rank.

My issue is that we had a more overt distinctive means (unless in the field and wearing different headgear) that was zero extra cost. If isn't good VFM and is wasting taxpayers money.

Dev yes there are places even the Pdf will have limited access, but the places I alluded to have a zero policy on reserves and civilians why because that's the ****in rules where are they ?? If you don't know that's because you don't need to know..
