As I said, not all of these are done in both DPM and Olive Green.
Might be worth enquiring if they would do them in a CE camo scheme
Hope this helps...Last edited by Truck Driver; 7 November 2006, 12:02."Well, stone me! We've had cocaine, bribery and Arsenal scoring two goals at home. But just when you thought there were truly no surprises left in football, Vinnie Jones turns out to be an international player!" (Jimmy Greaves)!"

Ive made a few minor adjustments to a pattern ammo pouch that I picked up in midleton a few years ago, to be used a pouch for carrying mag belts and it fits perfectly onto the mag and it worksOnly the dead have seen the end of war - Plato

The "metal containers" are handy but the belt has to be rolled up with great care to avoid it getting jammed.
Anotherhandy one is to use 58 pattern ammo pouches on your plce for the belts. There are always plenty of spare ones lying around and you can get them for free if the CQ isn't lookig.

the "metal containers" are the correct gpmg belt boxes.
unfortunetely they are more hassle than they are worth. i used them for a bit during recruit training and after a while they were left behind when going on the ground. as piper 69 said they jam quite easily if the belt was not fed into properly. there was no easy way to carry spare boxes, the 50 round capacity was too small, some gpmg gunners couldn't get them to stay on the gun securely, etc. all in all useless! we went to carrying the spare belts in CEFO pouches and pockets fairly quickly. An army is power. never used any type of box for the GPMG SF role. the rate of fire is too high and sustained to be changing out magazine boxes.
always link the belts together to have a few hundred rounds ready to go. anybody spare on the crew links the belts as another is being fired (or had it all done before shoots).
there used to be larger capacity boxes in the old Panhard APCs for the MAG 80s. but these sat in cradles in the turret and the belts were fed into the guns the same way as with a regular gpmg.Last edited by X-RayOne; 10 November 2006, 13:54.An army is power.
