There was peace in Sweden, but they practiced as if it were war - with hundreds of crashes and deaths as a result. - It is more or less unthinkable with a similar situation today, says the historian Mikael Nilsson in the documentary Dad and the Cold War.
They had a similar approach to pilot safety in fairness
