Yes, the Spanish and Brazilian Marines took the option on their PIIIC's, also so did the Romanian Army. The easy way to know other than the propellers is the trim vane on the front.
Remember the PIIIC is very different to the PIIIH, and the C variant came out much later, Swiss numbering system.Last edited by EUFighter; 15 May 2020, 22:12.

It wasn't just APC's like the BTR family but almost everything armoured was amphibious: BMP family, MT-LB family even the 2S1 Gvozdika 122mm SPG. In fact river crossing was so important for the Russians even their tanks were equipped to have some crossing ability. The tube seen on the turrets of T-64 & T-72 tanks is nothing more than a snorkel to allow then to ford deeper rivers. And all had to do with the Russian strategy of pre-emptive attack as a defence rather than wait like in 1941. Then rivers become barriers and help the defenders (NATO) and so way must be found to cross quickly.

As most new build vehicles and systems are fully digital which eases integration. Rather than the Samson RWS (bit of issue with Israeli gear) we could take its Australian cousin the EOS T2000, fitted with a 30mm ABM cannon and either MMP/EuroSpike etc.

It is based on the UT30 but made in Australia, the Spike ER can be replaced by MMP and the turret can be manned or unmanned.
(Sorry mixed the Samson and UT30)Last edited by EUFighter; 28 June 2020, 21:38.
