  • When I did my 154 test, one of the bikes used was an EoH bike. They seemed to rotate bikes out for other duties to keep them fresh. Worst thing you can do to a low mileage bike is not use it regularly.
For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

Did my course on 1990 GT550s and the occasional Bandit from the Sigs/PAs and got one of the '98 Deauvilles for the day of the test

      • I stand corrected..... I’m surprised they let them out apart from training and ceremonial

        • Last official outing for the 2 Cav deauvilles today?
Did anyone hear or see what demonstrators arrived for evaluation?

New bikes aren't expected until November I believe so plenty of time to squeeze a few EOHs out of them between then and now. After that you'll see them popping up in bike shops all over the place

            • Noticed while watching the Bastille day parade yesterday, French Army seem to be using something for escorting oversize loads around Paris.
No idea what kind of bike, looked well on the parade.

              • Apparently they are Yamaha Tenere XTZ660, in use since 2015. It replaced the Cagiva T4.

Guess what? They fit the tender specs for a new EOH motorcycle. 46BHP! Unfortunately they don't make them any more but the updated 700 version with LED headlights is only 54KW, 204kg wet, but the full mudguard requirement may put it outsidethe criteria.
It would potentially give 2 Cav motorcycles the ability to drive on grass again..

                • What about ATVs? Germany uses them.

                  • So do we. An ATV is not a motorcycle.

An EOH on quadbikes could be ... interesting!
