Slight topic derailment but is that navy dpm actually going on issue? That has been bouncing around for years.I knew a simple soldier boy.....
Who grinned at life in empty joy,
Slept soundly through the lonesome dark,
And whistled early with the lark.
In winter trenches, cowed and glum,
With crumps and lice and lack of rum,
He put a bullet through his brain.
And no one spoke of him again.
You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when soldier lads march by,
Sneak home and pray you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.

Sadly.It's a reality. Should be on trial now with one ships company."Let us be clear about three facts. First, all battles and all wars are won in the end by the infantryman. Nothing wrong with them as far as i could see.
Reasonably smart and practical(open to correction).
The NSV DPM is going to be a joke and a massive PR Faux Pas for the NS in the Current climate("NS can afford to spend X amount on new fancy uniforms they don't need when sailors are living on the ships alongside etc etc").
Yes.The NS uniform badly needed updating but this was not the way to go."Let us be clear about three facts. First, all battles and all wars are won in the end by the infantryman. I always associate the blue DPM uniforms with (slightly dodgy) South Asian police forces, rather than Naval uniform.'He died who loved to live,' they'll say,
'Unselfishly so we might have today!'
Like hell! He fought because he had to fight;
He died that's all. It was his unlucky night.
