      Not sure, some of those in the pics are already commissioned

      Not 100% sure but navy NCOs would be Commissioned into the army

        Not always the case. Some have even gone from the army as an NCO to the navy as an officer.
        For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.

            I'd imagine with the current shortage of deck officers is feeding into it. I'm sure there are plenty of administration based officer postings that could better filled by a CFR officer. Frees up others to go to sea.

            * I'm speculating of course.

                The T&C's of the current CFR course is that on commissioning all the students will be be commissioned into the Army or the Aer Corps(Army Line). No mention anywhere of NS.
                "Let us be clear about three facts. First, all battles and all wars are won in the end by the infantryman. Secondly, the infantryman always bears the brunt. His casualties are heavier, he suffers greater extremes of discomfort and fatigue than the other arms. Thirdly, the art of the infantryman is less stereotyped and far harder to acquire in modern war than that of any other arm." ------- Field Marshall Wavell, April 1945.

                          That is similar to the previous one. Am I incorrect or has it been 10 years since the last CFR has been run?
