That was on the scrolling banner news items on Euronews, this lunch time... it said:
... New Zealand to buy five Lockheed Martin Super Hercules transport aircraft for $1 billion to replace existing planes after breakdowns...
(not cheap! maybe includes other stuff?)

So you just need weather protection then. There used to be spare hangarage there in the past. Who is in SAL now? What about the Paint shed next door?
I do understand though that the further you move the air corps folk from Dublin, the closer they are to turning to a pillar of salt. This is unfortunate.For now, everything hangs on implementation of the CoDF report.
